I love slideshows. There’s something about images set to music which just makes me smile.
We love pre-wedding shoots, and they are an integral part of our packages because it gives us an opportunity to get to know who our couples are without the pressures of the Big Day swirling around us. For us this is vitally important, as good wedding photography is not just about composition and light, but about capturing the essence of the couple in question. The details of the wedding, from dress to location, from cake to band, are all reflective aspects of the couple, and I think you need to know them a little before you can appreciate the whats and whys to photograph on the day.
Within moments of meeting Chloe and Stephen, the kind of couple they are is clear to see. Laughter fills their home, and after nearly 12 years together, Chloe says there hasn’t been a day to go by without a full proper belly laugh. I don’t think you need to ask what the recipe for a successful relationship is for these two! We were joined by Finn, their gorgeous and equally fun-loving Labrador, for the shoot; and at the end of a couple of hours together, we moved from polite handshakes to genuine hugs. These guys are as full of joy as you will see in the images below, and we just cannot wait to share a little more of that with them again in September.
Jordan and Nathan have been sweethearts since they were 18, and nearly 12 years later, they chose the most glorious Spring day to become Mr & Mrs. I think this was one of the most apparent things to me about Jordan and Nathan, the ease they have with each other; from knowing and loving each other all these years.
The weather couldn’t have been more perfect, and the light blue sky contrasted beautifully against the striking neo-gothic mansion. A little like the demure and elegant Jordan against her cool Nathan. It just works.

This was what we did on Thursday.
