… yesterday.
I remember the first time we met Laura and Will, and when Laura told me her dress was from Fur Coats No Knickers, I squealed with delight. No, I really did. Couple FCNK with a London registry office ceremony and a pub reception, we knew this would be a über cool and timeless celebration. But all the details aside, what we truly love, is the opportunity to meet such wonderful couples. With every click of the camera, we are hoping to capture the story of their day which they will recognise. A story that reflects who they are and how much they are loved back to them; so every time I send the email notifying a couple their images are online, I hold my breath. Waiting to hear. Hoping they love what we have curated for them. So when we got these words from Will and Laura, well, it bought tears to my eyes. Dear Pen and Cam. If a picture paints a thousand words, then you have truly provided us Thank you so much for capturing the emotion, the joy and the elation I also wanted you both to know how much we loved having you personally Thank you again so very much for your abundant skill and Hoping to see you again very soon. Love and best wishes, Will and Laura (Mr & Mrs!). Thank you, Will and Laura for choosing us, it was our utter pleasure.
show 4 comments I love it! Gorgeous x Super super chic Pen! Lovin’ it! My kind of wedding. Awesome work!! A brilliant set of images Pen, really inspiring work. There are many reasons we love photographing weddings, and they vary from wedding to wedding, from couple to couple. All are fabulous, but all are unique, and what we take away from them is different each time. With Polly and John, all the main ingredients were there – the soft pastel flowers, the elegant dress, the thoughtful, really thoughtful, details – and we loved it all; but what I enjoyed above everything was their company. You know, when you meet someone for the first time, and they immediately put you at ease effortlessly, by being warm and open? That’s Polly. From the first time I met her, as she walked up the gravel drive to meet me, with the widest smile on her face – I knew it. And when nearly two hours passed with our girly chats in her parents back garden; I was sure. Polly’s genuine embrace mixed with John’s calm sincerity makes this couple truly wonderful, and so it was too on their wedding day.
show 3 comments What a beautiful day, thank you for sharing this. I can’t get over those enormous lights on the dance floor! I bet the party rocked x Fantastic coverage guys… Super storytelling. [...] beautiful Berkshire wedding [...] I know it’s hard to believe, but we’ve actually had a few days of Summer so far in 2012, and lucky for Charlotte and Daniel, one of those was on their special day back in May. We had been looking forward to seeing Charlotte and Dan again, ever since their pre-wedding shoot, as I knew Charlotte was planning a colourful handmade affair; and she certainly didn’t disappoint! Colour was in abundance, and the flowers! Oh how I loved the flowers! Charlotte is actually writing a series of posts on her wedding details over on her blog, so be sure to pop on over and see the behind-the-scenes details of how a gorgeous wedding can come together! In the meantime, here’s our little glimpse into the wonderful, technicolour, celebration of Charlotte and Dan…
